A youthful red/ruby color, the 2022 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley takes things up a notch in complexity, boasting aromas of cherry liqueur, sweet sage, forest floor, and crushed roses. It was aged for 18 months in a combination of roughly half new French oak and the rest used barrels. Pure and crystalline, it has wonderful ripeness and a graceful feel, with well-defined, ripe tannins, even acidity, and a bit of umami-noted richness on the finish as well as light incense notes. It's going to drink its best over the coming 15 years. Drink 2024-2039.
